See You in My 19th Life (Korean: 이번 생도 잘 부탁해) is a 2023 fantasy romance South Korean television series starring Shin Hye-sun, Ahn Bo-hyun, Ha Yoon-kyung, and Ahn Dong-goo. It is based on a webtoon of the same name by writer Lee Hey, which was published on Naver Webtoon.

The series is about a girl Ban Ji-eum (Shin Hye-sun) who has been repeating her life through reincarnation for nearly a thousand years, and can remember all her past lives. After her eighteenth life is cut short due to a tragic accident, she decides to reconnect with the man from her previous life.

The concept of integrating reincarnation into romance was cool and different as I am used to reincarnation been about revenge. The story line goes very smooth and in a heart fluttering manner. I enjoy this drama not only for the alluring editing and cinematography, but the story line is excellent!

The stars portrayed their characters effectively and played their role very well, especially the main leads. I am most intrigued by how much immersed 9 years old Ban Ji-eum (Park So-yi) is in her role, also other child actors and actresses in this series, they were all wonderful as every scenes were perfectly portrayed.

The romance between the two main character Moon Seo-ha (Ahn Bo-hyun) and Ban Ji-eum was not just cute but very much felt good and heartwarming. It’s the type of romance that u feel yourself getting absorbed into rather than finding lagging. Their intimacy was poured out too well especially the back hugs, never have I seen a drama with such loving back embraces. The longing for love and the breath taking reunion is the highlight part.

If you’ve ever envisioned that you’ll one day get reincarnated into another being and being able to keep all the memories of your past life, and be able to track down the people you’ve met in the past, “See You In My 19th Life” is the drama for you to get that envision satisfied.

However, sometimes the scenes jump from one to another with time lapses and it almost feels as if one is reading a webtoon rather than watching a series, where the flow is supposed to be smoother.

Though it’s a fantasy series, yet it also reflects and relate with reality. It focuses on the view of challenges as well hardship in life especially the realization that whatever events of life that occur has impact on our mental health. Without mental health, there is no life.

Altogether, its a very well scripted and directed series. Its an 8.0/10 for me and a definite recommendation to not just the K series fans but to everyone.
